Culturalmente entendemos a esas criaturas como emisarias de la muerte, la tragedia o el mal. A nadie le gusta ver esas enormes alas negras, con ojos maliciosos, penetrantes; estas de las que se despliegan de largo a largo en una pared o dintel de la casa.
A mí no me gustaba.

Me esforcé en sacarla, pero ella, insistente, volvía. Parecía una mascota no deseada, a cuya presencia no quise acostumbrarme.
